We Are Pescadero, Neighbors Investing in Neighbors

Building a stronger community through education

The Pescadero Education Foundation is a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit founded in 1997, serving students from Pre-K through 12th grade in the La Honda–Pescadero Unified School District. PEF supports approximately 250 students across Pescadero Elementary, Middle, and High School.

Our schools are more than buildings. They are the heart of our small coastal community. PEF exists because people like you believe that investing in our local schools is investing in the future of Pescadero itself.

Our Mission

To fund enrichment, the programs and experiences that bring learning to life and help our students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our mission is to ensure every student has access to meaningful opportunities that inspire curiosity, creativity, and confidence.

The South Coast is a rural and geographically isolated region in San Mateo County. Many of our students live on the small farms where their families work, far from parks, libraries, and public resources that other communities take for granted. PEF helps bridge those gaps.

Dedicated

Our Team

PEF is powered by a dedicated group of community volunteers who give their time, energy, and hearts to make these programs possible.
